OUR INSTRUCTORS

Our instructors are experienced and skilled long-range shooters who have years of experience in teaching the art of long-distance shooting. They will guide you through the process and teach you the techniques required to make those long-distance shots with confidence.
Brandon (Right) joined the U.S. Army in 2009 and served 6.5 years Active duty with the 82nd Airborne Division as well as 6 years in the Michigan National Guard. During those years Brandon served three deployments to Afghanistan, completed multiple military marksmanship schools to include the U.S. Army Sniper School, and found his passion for teaching.
Currently Brandon is the Firearms Manager at Long Range Archery and Firearms in Holland, MI as well as one of the Lead Instructors and Co/Owners of Michigan Defensive Firearms Institute (MDFI Training).
Kurtis (Left) has been a lifelong hunter and marksman and continues to pass along his knowledge to others of all ages. Training at the Gunwerks University in 2024, Kurtis has built an understanding of math and physics, allowing him to help teach the sciences behind the sport of shooting. Kurtis continues to work diligently behind the scenes to stay up to date on the latest science and education advancements in all areas of shooting including ballistics, gun brands, terminal performance and optics.
Kurtis currently works at Long Range Archery and Firearms in Holland, Michigan, South Pacific Safaris New Zealand and enjoys range days and hunting.
